Tom Wierman became involved in parish music after moving to Wichita in 1983 for an accounting career. He served as a choir director three different times at the Church of the Magdalen before moving to Calgary for an Expatriate assignment in 2001. When returning from Calgary, Tom’s family joined St. Thomas Aquinas parish. He began serving as the 9:00 choir director in 2014 when that choir was formed. He is currently Director of Music at STA and 9:00 a.m. Choir Director.
Tom is a founding member of NPM Wichita, initially serving as Chapter Secretary from 2015-2017.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and an MBA, both from Fort Hays State University.
Sister Nylas Moser, ASC, has served since 1997 as music minister and/or Director of Liturgy for the Adorers of the Blood of Christ in Wichita, Kansas. A graduate of Kansas Newman College, she earned her M.A. degree in music from St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana. Sister Nylas has taught elementary music, served in parish ministry, and has studied and taught Italian. Sister has served in the NPM Section, Musicians Serving Religious Communities, as secretary from 2006-2009, and as Chairperson from 2009-2016. In fall 2016, she began service as a member of the NPM National Committee for Chapters. In June 2015, several other musicians and Sister Nylas initiated a temporary NPM Wichita Chapter. In July 2016, at the NPM convention in Houston, the Wichita chapter was granted permanent status.
