Charlene Dreiling

Chapter Director

Charlene has embraced the music ministry in several parishes for over 30 years as cantor and choir member. Currently a member of the Church of the Magdalen she is a member of the Saturday evening mass choir as well as cantor. Charlene has three children and delights in her three grandchildren. She is retired as an office manager at a Wichita accounting firm. Charlene is involved in NPM Wichita's membership committee and is a past treasurer.

Doug Patry


Doug has been singing along with the radio for as long as he can remember but began his music ministry in 1980 when he joined the St. Mark's choir after hearing them at mass one evening and being so taken with their harmony. He was welcomed, being the youngest member they'd seen in some time, and sang with them for ten years until he moved out of the parish. In 1991, he joined the choir at St. Peter, Schulte, and has been a choir member, folk guitar mass member and cantor there for over thirty years.

Marjorie Flesher


Marjorie started accompanying at her local church, in Hays, KS, when she was in high school and continued throughout college.  After graduating from Fort Hays State University with a bachelors in accounting, she started working for Koch Industries in Wichita and then in Port Arthur, Texas.  After moving back to Wichita, she joined St. Jude Catholic Church and became their adult choir accompanist.

Christopher Dean


Chris began playing at St. Jude Parish in the 4th grade and has since played for several area parishes. He received his Bachelor of Music Education from Wichita State University and is a past band director of Bishop Carroll Catholic High School. Chris is currently the Technology Director and accompanist for St. Vincent de Paul in Andover.

Kitty Michot

Membership Coordinator & Prayer Leader

Kathryn (Kitty) Michot: Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance 1972; Master of Music in Vocal Performance 1979; Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education 1989; Master Catechist Certification in the Diocese of Wichita 2014. She is retired as the choir director, organist, pastoral liturgist and music teacher at St. Jude Catholic Church and School.

Jeanne Recker


Jeanne has been a choir director in the Church for the last 30 years. She plays piano and guitar at Mass and is also a cantor. She taught music at St. Edward's Catholic School in Little Rock, AR for six years. She is a mother of five and has four grandkids. Jeanne teaches private lessons for piano, guitar, and ukulele. Jeanne is a former hospitality chair for NPM Wichita.

Sr. John Patrick

Sister John Patrick is currently the director of the Office of Worship for the Diocese of Wichita, and is a member of the Servants of the Trinity, a new initiative of religious life in the Wichita diocese.  She studied for her masters in liturgy at The Liturgical Institute on the campus of Mundelein Seminary, northwest of Chicago, IL.  Sister majored in voice and was an organ and piano minor at Immaculata College, Immaculata, PA, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  She also received certification in K-8 education and did post-graduate coursework in theology.  Sister is a native of western Nebraska.

Tom Wierman

Past Chapter Director

Tom Wierman became involved in parish music after moving to Wichita in 1983 for an accounting career. He served as a choir director three different times at the Church of the Magdalen before moving to Calgary for an Expatriate assignment in 2001. When returning from Calgary, Tom’s family joined St. Thomas Aquinas parish. He began serving as the 9:00 choir director in 2014 when that choir was formed. He is currently Director of Music at STA and 9:00 a.m. Choir Director.

Tom is a founding member of NPM Wichita, initially serving as Chapter Secretary from 2015-2017.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and an MBA, both from Fort Hays State University.

Sr. Nylas Moser, ASC

Past Chapter Director

Sister Nylas Moser, ASC, has served since 1997 as music minister and/or Director of Liturgy for the Adorers of the Blood of Christ in Wichita, Kansas.   A graduate of Kansas Newman College, she earned her M.A. degree in music from St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana.  Sister Nylas has taught elementary music, served in parish ministry, and has studied and taught Italian.   Sister has served in the NPM Section, Musicians Serving Religious Communities, as secretary from 2006-2009, and as Chairperson from 2009-2016.  In fall 2016, she began service as a member of the NPM National Committee for Chapters.  In June 2015, several other musicians and Sister Nylas initiated a temporary NPM Wichita Chapter.  In July 2016, at the NPM convention in Houston, the Wichita chapter was granted permanent status.
